Michael Schmid studied Electrical Engineering at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg and at University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada focussing on digitale signal processing, high frequency technology and analog and digital circuit technology. He completed his studies in 2003 with his thesis in the field of communications engineering.
Since 2003 Michael Schmid has been active in the field of intellectual property and has been admitted both as German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney in 2008. Since then Michael Schmid has worked in all areas of intellectual property and has cooperated with Andreas Ascherl in several patent litigation cases. He cooperates with Kehl, Ascherl, Liebhoff & Ettmayr as a consultant. His technical focuses as an attorney are in the fields of communications engineering, in particular mobile communication, high frequency technology and analog and digital circuit technology.
